At 11:30 p.m. Jackson EMC is experiencing 1,174 individual outages that are affecting 67,275 customers across our service area. This represents one of the worst ice storms in Jackson EMC’s history.

Crews are working to clear outages as rapidly as the weather conditions and safety considerations allow. Our power restoration work is being augmented by contractor crews and crews from other Georgia EMCs not affected by the storm, a number of which will join us tomorrow. At this time, our goal is to restore most Jackson EMC customers’ power within 24 hours, conditions permitting.
