2/17 6:00 p.m. - Outage Restoration Update
Power has been restored to roughly half of the 76,000 Jackson EMC members who were without power at the storm’s peak. An additional 350 workers from across the Southeast working alongside Jackson EMC crews to help restore power to those members still without power.

Jackson EMC personnel will continue to work around the clock to ensure all outages are restored as quickly as possible. In addition to dealing with ice-covered lines, trees and limbs, line workers also must replace 38 broken poles before power can be restored. We estimate that the vast majority of remaining outages will be repaired by late Wednesday, with some restored sooner depending on the progress crews can make.
Those without power can see a map of current outages, report an outage, or get updates on their outage on the cooperative’s website at www.jacksonemc.com.
