2/17 9:00 p.m. - Update: Restoration Efforts Continue

Jackson EMC personnel, aided by 350 workers from EMCs and contractors throughout the Southeast, continue the task of restoring power to the remaining 37,131 customers who are still without power from Monday’s ice storm. Workers are dealing with ice-covered lines, trees and limbs, and also must replace 38 broken poles before power can be restored.

Work will continue around the clock to ensure that power to all customers is restored as quickly as possible. We estimate the vast majority of remaining outages will be repaired by late Wednesday, with some restored sooner depending on the progress crews can make.

Those without power can see a map of current outages, report an outage, or get updates on their outage on the cooperative’s website at www.jacksonemc.com.
