Jackson EMC currently has 26,417 customers still out of power. Around 300 Jackson EMC personnel, assisted by 462 personnel from contractors and other electric cooperatives, are working to clear these outages. We anticipate we will be able to restore the majority of Jackson EMC customers’ power by the end of the day, but are anticipating that we may have a few thousand more difficult outages scattered throughout our service area to clear tomorrow.
