Char-Broiled Sweet Onions

Place a medium-sized whole, unpeeled sweet onion on a piece of heavy duty foil. Wrap foil around onion securely. Place in oven or on outside grill at medium-high temperature. Cook for 1/2 hour, turning frequently. To serve, peel off outer skin and fill core of onion with a pat of butter. Serve onion like a baked potato.
