Director, Recruiting and Employment, Corporate Office in Jefferson, GA

This position provides for the planning, development, and direction of comprehensive recruiting, hiring, and employment programs necessary to meet the needs and objectives of the Cooperative; works with management to understand current and future workforce needs and continually evaluate and recommend improvements to hiring processes; provides assistance in the development and administration of system-wide human resources’ policies, procedures, and programs; ensures all recruitment and selection procedures are in compliance with current legislation and regulations; and works in a team-oriented environment, providing the leadership and vision consistent with the mission and values of the Cooperative.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Prefer course work in accounting, human resources, economics, labor law, insurance, finance, and business communications. Prefer PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification. Prefer Master’s degree with coursework similar to that listed above.

This position requires a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive Human Resource experience preferably with an electric utility or service type organization. The position also requires a minimum of the most recent five (5) consecutive years progressive experience in recruiting and hiring responsibilities. Prefer supervisory and change management experience.

Candidates will be subject to an in-depth employment and education verification process and must be willing to take and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination. Candidates must meet minimum job requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
