Eggs & Issues Events Bring Legislative Issues Home to Local Communities

The Georgia General Assembly’s legislative session kicks off next week, and Jackson EMC will once again be tracking a number of legislative issues down at the state capital.

Jackson EMC values the communities we serve, and employees stay engaged with issues that might impact our business and our members, so it’s important to work with state officials year-round. Jackson EMC works hard to maintain a positive relationship and an open dialog with all of our State and Local elected officials.

Each year, Jackson EMC sponsors local “Eggs and Issues” breakfasts, typically held in December when legislators are home for the holidays. The events are normally hosted in conjunction with a local Chamber of Commerce, and provide a great opportunity for local business leaders to hear from, and interact with, their state delegation before the new year’s legislative session begins.

In December, 2015, Jackson EMC sponsored Eggs and issues forums in Jackson, Barrow and Hall Counties. The well-attended breakfast events gave Jackson EMC an opportunity to put our company values into action. As title sponsors for these events, Jackson EMC’s Commercial/Industrial Marketing Representatives and District Managers regularly participate in these meetings.
