Jackson EMC Conducting Member Communication Research
Jackson EMC will be conducting communication research as part of regular efforts to ensure we’re communicating with our members in the best ways possible. As a member-owned electric cooperative, we provide our members with reliable, affordable electricity and aim to exceed expectations with the best possible service – and communication plays an important role in that.
We’ve partnered with consultants to take a closer look at our member communication strategy. This survey will ask members about their communication preferences and how they prefer to hear from us. Currently, Jackson EMC uses channels such as JEMCO News, social media, bill inserts or emails to share cooperative news. We want to know what works best for our members and will gain insight into new opportunities for member communication channels, too.
Previous member communication audits have resulted in the redesign of Jackson EMC’s member newsletter, JEMCO News, in 2016 and relaunching a mobile-friendly Jackson EMC website (jacksonemc.com) in 2021.
As part of our efforts, members may be asked via email to participate in a survey, online forum or in-person focus groups. Emails from our partner, Data Decisions Group, will start the week of April 11 and should be finished by May 10.
Jackson EMC conducts member satisfaction research on a monthly basis. This latest effort will focus on the cooperative’s communication program.
