Jackson EMC Sponsors Several Chamber ‘Eggs & Issues’ Events

Before they return to the state’s General Assembly in January, several area state legislators met with local chambers of commerce to discuss upcoming priorities and issues. Jackson EMC played a key role in supporting these events.

The cooperative was the presenting sponsor of the “Eggs and Issues” events by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce, the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce and the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. Jackson EMC was also a premier partner of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Pancakes and Policy Breakfast.”

State legislators spoke about issues the General Assembly will likely consider when it convenes on January 10.

David Cleveland, Jackson EMC’s Director of Business Development, welcomed guests at the Barrow County chamber event, while Business Development Manager Brandon Ashley introduced the chamber’s 2022 priorities to the legislative delegation. Brandon also moderated the Madison County chamber event with state representatives. Jackson EMC board member Rodney Chandler gave an overview of the chamber’s local and state legislative priority issues at the Madison County Chamber event. Wade Johnson, Jackson EMC Business Development Manager, moderated the discussion for the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce event.
