Low Country Boil
- Old Bay® Seasoning to taste
- 3 1/4 pounds new potatoes
- 2 (16 ounce) packages cooked kielbasa sausage, cut into 1" pieces
- 5 ears fresh or frozen corn (husks and silks removed)
- 3 1/4 pounds whole crab, broken into pieces or crab legs
- 2 3/4 pounds fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lemon, remove seeds and squeeze for juice
- 4 bay leaves
- Newspapers
Heat a large pot of water over an outdoor cooker or medium-high heat indoors. Add Old Bay Seasoning to taste, bay leaves and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Add potatoes and sausage, and cook for about 20 minutes. Add the corn and crab; cook for another 10 minutes, then add the shrimp when everything else is almost done, and cook for another 15 minutes. Drain off the water, and pour the contents out onto a picnic table covered with newspaper. Enjoy! Serves 10.
