Nathan Bohannon Chosen as Gwinnett Young Professionals’ 35 Under 35
Nathan Bohannon, residential new development advisor in Gwinnett, was recently selected as one of Gwinnett Young Professionals’ 35 Under 35 recipients.
Gwinnett Young Professionals (GYP) is an initiative of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. 35 Under 35 is GYP’s annual selection of the most influential young professionals and emerging business leaders in Gwinnett. The 35 Under 35 Judging Committee, composed of former GYP Advisory Board Members, scored more than 200 nominees based on a variety of categories that reflect the mission of GYP. These categories include how the applicant has tried to grow professionally/help others grow, how deeply the applicant is connected with the community, their sphere of influence, and lastly, how the applicant has contributed to making an impact in their community.
Nathan graduated from the GYP Leadership Institute, a leadership development program, in 2018. He currently serves on the executive board of the Gwinnett Young Professionals and is the vice chairman of the Grow Committee, which focuses on professional development. Nathan also serves as a board member and Giving Committee chairman of the Suwanee Kiwanis club and as Jackson EMC’s team captain for the Gwinnett Relay for Life.
“Community involvement and service is an important value for Jackson EMC,” said Nathan. “By partnering with our local chambers of commerce and civic organizations, employees like me are able to give back while connecting with other leaders in the communities we serve, in addition to promoting local business and economic development.”
“Gwinnett County is so fortunate to have such influential young professionals in our community who are disruptors, innovators and change-makers,” said Gwinnett Chamber President & CEO Nick Masino. “We are excited to continue to invest in the leaders of tomorrow, today, with our Gwinnett Young Professionals program.”
