Perspective: We're Here to Help you Save Energy
If, like me, you’re tired of those New Year’s resolutions that have something to do with eating better and exercising more, then maybe a resolution about being more energy efficient will recharge your batteries this year.
I got that idea from the great feedback you gave us in our recent member communication survey. Those results showed us you want more information on how to save energy. Knowing that, we thought what better time than the new year to update you on the ways to save energy. The nice thing is we make it easy.
For great ideas on ways to save on energy, read more here in JEMCO News. It’s one of the best sources from Jackson EMC for information on ways to save energy. And it’s just one of the many ways we educate members about energy efficiency. You can also turn to our social media channels, website, mobile app and other avenues to get helpful energy efficiency tips.
We have representatives available who can conduct an evaluation of your home’s energy use and offer recommendations for energy efficiency improvements. If you’re planning to install a new energy efficient heat pump or water heater, Jackson EMC offers rebates. For more information about these services, visit jacksonemc.com/savenow.
If you want a deeper dive in the new year to track your energy use, we have some great new ways to help. We recently launched a new mobile app and website with tools to help you monitor your energy use. The MyJacksonEMC mobile app and website allow you to view your energy use by the hour, day, month or billing period. It’s a great way to see how your energy use can change by the day or even hour.
