• Clean appliances that may have a buildup of food debris, oil or dust, which could be fire hazards near an electrical source.
• Keep electrical cords and tools away from water, including wet grass.
• Inspect cords, plugs and outlets to ensure everything is in good working condition. Wires that are warm to the touch or frayed should be replaced.
