Tangy Taco Dip

1-2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 lg. onion, chopped
2/3 cup chili salsa or
1/3 cup taco sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chili
2 cup grated cheddar
16 oz. sour cream
Packet of Ranch dip mix

Season ground beef with garlic salt. Sprinkle in onions and brown ground beef until meat is crumbly and cooked thoroughly. Drain in colander. In 9"x13" baking dish, mix meat with onions, taco sauce, half of salsa, chili powder, chopped chilies and half of cheese. Smooth out top of mixture and sprinkle with remaining grated cheese. Spiral remaining salsa over top of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Mix the packet of Ranch mix in the sour cream. Remove taco dip from oven and garnish with Ranch dip.
